Trooper shot in the back by cowardly Taliban

Trooper Daniel Jason Griffiths (23) from Wrexham was shot in the back by a Taliban fighter.

Daniel, a Trooper from the 1st Quenns Dragoon Guards was on an ongoing operation when he was shot and knocked to the ground.

After getting himself into cover his comrades checked him over and discovered that the bullet was embedded in his body armour. I really thought I had been shot and I was screaming”, Daniel said but after the dust settled he was relieved not to have been seriously injured.
